Stage one

In the tailoring process, I am an expert pattern cutter and fitter. I take your personal measurements and figurations and create a unique 2D paper pattern (the blueprint) that will be used for your entire time with Nicholas Simon Tailoring.

Stage two - striking out

When your selected cloth has arrived direct from the British Mill, the paper pattern is laid out onto the cloth and is chalked out. Leaving excess material in strategic places for the fitting process. Each garment uses as little cloth as possible due to my strict planning process.

Stage Three - Tailoring

The work begins on creating the internal structure of the garments and the cloth is turned into a fitting using basting (temporary) stitches.

The garment is ready to be fitted once it has been checked over by myself and one of my expert tailors.
