The Face Behind The Name

I, Nicholas, trained, lived and breathed Savile Row for 10 years at Norton & Sons. I began as and unpaid intern, graduated to the junior apprentice and finally rose to the top role of Head Cutter.

I completed the Savile Row Bespoke Diploma in how to create and sew jackets and to cut patterns. This training took 5 years of dedication and focus. Cutting and fitting garments on daily basis on Savile Row allowed me to develop a skill and style of my own. Collaborating with the customer being key to the success of every garment.

During my apprenticeship I worked for other tailors on 'The Row' such as Davies & Sons, Huntsman and Anthony Sinclair. At one point I was designated sleeve maker for half the tailors on Savile Row. I worked with fashion brands such as E.Tautz, The Kooples, Jenny Packham (pictured below) and Christopher Kane.

I travelled far and wide to meet customers and perform fittings. Regular trips to New York, personal visits to customers in Paris and even providing training seminars to tailors in India. My skills are widely sought after on every continent.

I was largely responsible for implementing the ever growing Semi Bespoke business at Norton & Sons, bringing bespoke garments to a wider audience.  I have carried on offering Semi Bespoke as it is a brilliant service that offers great value.
